Wealth Analysis

Hexagram 29, the Abysmal, depicts water resting upon water, symbolizing a landscape of accumulated challenges and inherent risk. In the context of wealth, this is a profound meditation on resilience amidst volatility. The declaration that "sincerity exists; the heart is open" instructs us that material stability is currently contingent upon internal clarity rather than external certainty.

True prosperity in this phase is not static accumulation but the capacity to remain fluid when the financial terrain is treacherous. Like water finding its path through a gorge, one must navigate obstacles with adaptability rather than brute force. The "heart" mentioned here is the seat of courage; it remains unblocked even when the path is constricted. Therefore, "action is praised" only when it is born from this inner conviction. Do not freeze in the face of market fluctuations or uncertainty; instead, move with the current, guided by unwavering principle. Trust that by maintaining your integrity and emotional equilibrium, you will traverse the depths, emerging with the wisdom and experience that constitute true wealth.

A thought arises, a world unfolds. Continue on Yinsight.

The Six Lines

Six at the beginning

Repetition of the Abysmal. In the abyss one falls into a pit. Misfortune.

Nine in the second place

The abyss is dangerous. One should strive to attain through small things only.

Six in the third place

Forward and backward, abyss on abyss. In such danger, pause at first and wait, otherwise you will fall into a pit in the abyss. Do not act in this way.

Six in the fourth place

A jug of wine, a bowl of rice with it; earthen vessels passed through the window. There is certainly no blame in this.

Nine in the fifth place

The abyss is not filled to overflowing, it is filled only to the rim. No blame.

Six at the top

Bound with cords and ropes, shut in between thorn-hedged prison walls: for three years one does not find the way. Misfortune.
