Hexagram Jie, or Deliverance, signifies the moment the storm breaks and the waters recede. In the realm of wealth, this represents the dissolution of stagnation and the release of trapped potential. It is not a time for aggressive acquisition, but for the liberation of resources that have been bound by complexity or delay.
The instruction to favor the southwest suggests a strategy of yielding and consolidation—seeking fertile, stable ground rather than chasing volatile winds. If there are no pressing financial entanglements, "coming back" is auspicious; return to your core principles, simplify your holdings, and find peace in sufficiency. This implies that rest and consolidation are valid forms of profit.
However, if obligations or opportunities present themselves, act swiftly ("early"). Procrastination allows the knots of difficulty to tighten. True wealth here is found in clarity and the removal of friction. By resolving debts or correcting errors with haste, you clear the channel for abundance to flow naturally. Jie teaches that prosperity is not merely accumulation, but the unburdening of one's financial life from the weight of unresolved complexity.
